Nancy Lee (Singleton) Loy

Nancy Lee (Singleton) Loy, 85, passed away at 10:30 am Thursday, December 1, 2022. She was born on April 25, 1937, in South Bend, Indiana to the late Cecil and Carrie (Workman) Singleton.

Nancy graduated from South Bend Central High School in 1955. She then married the love of her life, Robert Loy, on September 28, 1957, in South Bend.

Nancy is survived by her son, Tom Loy of Granger; two daughters, Sue (Roy) Mills of Romeo, Michigan and Julie (Frank) Brummett of Granger, Indiana; seven grandchildren, Andy (Donna), Matt, Meghan (Ricky), Kari (Jon), Karen (Don), Jennifer (Paul), and Caroline; seven great grandchildren, Rhema, Malachi, Judah, Adelynn, Anna, Lily, and Mason. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Nancy devoted her life to her family and was a marvelous wife, mother, and grandmother. She was generous, fun loving, an excellent cook, and an extremely talented painter.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Friday, December 9, 2022 at Palmer Funeral Home – Bubb Chapel, 3910 North Main Street, Mishawaka, Indiana. A graveside service will take place immediately following at Saint Joseph Valley Memorial Park, 375 W. Cleveland Rd., Granger, Indiana. Friends may visit with the family for one hour prior to the funeral service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Nancy’s memory may be donated to Alzheimer’s and Dementia Services of Northern Indiana Incorporated, 111 Sunnybrook Ct., South Bend, Indiana.
