VANDALIA Services for Frank E. Sailer, 48, of 16387 Hideaway Drive, formerly of South Bend, who died at 7:27 a.m. Monday in Three Rivers Area Hospital of a heart attack, will be at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday in St. Patrick's Catholic Church, South Bend. Burial will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, South Bend. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. today in Hickey Funeral Home, South Bend, where a rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association. 

Mr. Sailer was born July 23, 1937, in South Bend. He moved to Vandalia in July from North Liberty. On Jan. 24, 1959, in South Bend, he married Dorothy Peppers, who survives, along with a daughter, Ann, at home; a son, Frank E. Jr. of Indianapolis; a brother, Thomas of Carmel, Ind.; and his parents Frank and Mary Ann Sailer of South Bend.

Mr. Sailer was employed at Harry H. Verkler Construction Co., South Bend. He was a member of the Carpenters Union Local 413 and St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Walkerton.
