RITA M. (WEGENKA) CSENAR

April 4, 1933 - July 9, 2008
Rita M. Csenar, 75, of South Bend, IN, died on Wednesday, July 9, 2008 in St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, South Bend. She was born on April 4, 1933 to the late Walter and Blanche (Napieralski) Wegenka, Sr. in South Bend, IN, and was a lifelong resident.

Along with her parents; two brothers, Robert and Walter Wegenka, Jr. also preceded her in death.

Mrs. Csenar was employed at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in South Bend for 40 years. She was a graduate of Central High School in South Bend.

On April 28, 1956, as Rita M. Wegenka, she married Frank J. Csenar at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in South Bend, IN. He died on June 24, 2004.

Rita was a member of St. Anthony de Padua Parish. She enjoyed Notre Dame Football, IU Basketball, trips to the casino, and having cosmos with her family and many friends.

She is survived by three daughters, Susan Csenar (Lyman Weber) of Elkhart, IN; Jane (Tony) Elliott of Cincinnati, OH; Kay (Bryan) Waters of Indianapolis, IN; one son, Joe (Jennifer) Csenar of Carmel, IN; seven grandchildren, Allison (Daniel) Laakso; Sam and John Elliott; Jack and Ethan Waters; and Nick and Kelly Csenar; two sisters, Mary Jane Fowler and Patricia Laskowski; three brothers, Chester, Daniel, and Frank Wegenka; numerous nieces & nephews; and her best friend, Mary; and the GOA's.

Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be from 9-11 AM Monday, July 14, 2008 at St. Anthony de Padua Catholic Church. A Memorial Mass will follow at 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 14, 2008 at St. Anthony de Padua Catholic Church with Rev. Derrick Sneyd and Rev. Henry Byekwaso officiating.

Burial will take place at a later date in Highland Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to: Father Henry's Village. Checks should be made to St. Bavo Church, 502 West 7th. Street, Mishawaka, Indiana 46544. Please specify in the memo, "Father Henry's Village." Father Henry's Village is a church and school in Kampala Uganda sponsored by Father Henry Byekwaso, the chaplain at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center.
