Elder, Robert F. Milan, MI Age 69 died Thursday, January 6, 2005. He was born February 26, 1935 in Vincennes, Indiana to Thomas and Bertha (Doolittle) Elder. Bob married Cynthia Kay (VanDerbeck) on December 21, 1957 in South Bend, Indiana.

Bob was a grad uate of South Bend Central High School, Purdue University, and a veteran of the U.S. Navy.

Bob was an electrical engineer for National Water Lift and Rowe International. Later in his career, Bob was an entrepre neur, directing a chain of Hallmark stores and then re tired from Molly Maid where he mentored other entrepreneurs. More significant than his pro fessional accomplishments is the many lives he impacted throughout his life and career. Bob's lasting legacy is a family that fears and serves the Lord- the legacy that mattered to him most.

His life continues to in spire his wife Kay; his three children, Bruce (Paula) Elder, Bryn (Greg) McCall, and Brett (Cindy) Elder; and seven grand children that adored their Grandpa; Brad, Ryan, Seth, Danica, Kaylee, Brendon and Camden.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Fred.

The family will re ceive friends on Sunday, Jan, 9 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the Nie Life Story Funeral Home, 2400 Carpenter Rd., Ann Arbor, MI 48108. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday Jan. 10, 2005, and the family will receive friends one hour prior to service at Knox Presbyterian Church, 2065 S. Wagner, Ann Arbor. Memorial contributions in Bob's memory may be made to the ministry of International Stew ard, 4595 Broadmoor SE, Ste 295, Grand Rapids, MI 49512.
