PHILIP J. DEVOIR

June 21, 1934 - Jan. 4, 2012 ST. JOSEPH - Philip James "P.J." DeVoir, 77, of St. Joseph, Michigan was called home on January 4, 2012 surrounded by his family. Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Disabled American Veterans or Hospice at Home. Messages of condolence may be sent to www.florin.net. P.J. was born June 21, 1934 in Princeton, MO to James and Elvarene (Pollard) DeVoir.

He graduated from South Bend Central High School in 1952, and for much of his adult life was a hard-working foundry man.

On October 18, 1952 he and his beloved wife Cecilia Gartee were married in South Bend, IN. P.J. is survived by his wife Cecilia; seven children, Stan (Debbie) DeVoir, Roxanne (Jeff) Kezlarian, Philip DeVoir, Timmy DeVoir, David DeVoir, Mary (Terry) Nicholas, and Jason DeVoir; 13 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
