DONNA (PETERS) CULP

Sept. 16, 1933 - June 17, 2011
MISHAWAKA - Donna J. Culp, 77, of Mishawaka, passed away Friday, June 17, 2011, in her home. She was born in South Bend on September 16, 1933, to the late Harry and Lillian Peters. On September 13, 1958, she married Ernest J. Culp of Mishawaka, where they continued to live until her death.

Donna is survived by her husband, Ernest; two sons, Douglas (Patricia), and Eric (Jennifer); and three grandchildren, Nicholas (Sarah), Karen and Sarah.

Donna graduated from South Bend Central High School in 1951.

Upon graduation, she was employed at South Bend Lathe, Curtis Wright Corp., Standard Oil in Granger, and retired from Manpower (Uniroyal). Donna was a member of the Experimental Aircraft Association #132 of Elkhart, and a member of the Indiana Warbird Squadron #3. She was also a volunteer member of the Military Honor Park of South Bend. She belonged to the Mishawaka Garden Club. She was an active member of First Baptist Church in Mishawaka for over 50 years. She was also involved in election boards.

Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial service to be given in her honor on Friday, July 1, 2011, at 7:00 p.m. in First Baptist Church, 724 N. Main St., Mishawaka. There is a time of fellowship after the service to meet with the family. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Donna J. Culp may be made to First Baptist Christian School Scholarship Fund at 724 N. Main St., Mishawaka, IN.
