Harold Lloyd Bratton, 72, who was a resident of 19434 Elm Road, Tippecanoe, Ind., died unexpectedly at 6:38 p.m. Friday, July 23, in his home. Harold was born June 27, 1932, in Texhoma, Okla., to Lloyd Allen Bratton and Thelma Fry Bratton. He had been a resident of Tippecanoe since 1974. Harold became the husband of Valerie Marie Eazsol on June 30, 1956. She died Dec. 18, 1992. Harold was a farmer and retired from the Bendix Corporation in 1987 as a tool-and-die maker. He loved to share stories with his coffee shop friends on a daily basis, he loved shooting firearms, and was a small aircraft pilot. 

He was a member of Masonic Lodge #45 of South Bend, Ind. He was state high school wrestling champion in 1948- 1949, and was inducted into the Indiana Wrestling Hall of Fame in 1985. He was a United States veteran, serving in the Army. 

He is survived by his two children, Kathy Bratton of Bourbon ind., and David Bratton and fiancée, Tina Horn of Tippecanoe; his grandson, Lucas Lloyd; and by a brother, David Bratton of Vandalia, Mich,  Harold was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Lauren on Oct. 24, 1961; and by two brothers, Richard and Dale. 

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 28, in the Deaton Funeral Home, 115 S. Main St, Bourbon. A Masonic Lodge service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.  Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 29, in the Deaton Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Tippecanoe Cemetery. Military graveside services wil be conducted by the Bourbon American Legion.
