MARY F. (SEAVER) MATZ

FRANKFORT - Mary F. (Seaver) Matz, 80, passed away Monday in the Indiana University Health Arnett Hospital, Lafayette. She was born on January 27, 1931, in Kokomo, IN, to parents, Wayne Lowell and Helen (Shade) Seaver. On November 24, 1949, in South Bend, IN, she married Lowell D. Matz, who preceded her in death on July 7, 2000.

Mrs. Matz graduated from high school in South Bend in 1949, and was a homemaker and former owner of The Island, The Combo and El Rancho.

Survivors include her two sons, Rockie W. Matz and Harry B. (Debbie) Matz, both of Frankfort; a sister, Sue (Richard) Steele of New Carlisle, IN; two grandchildren, Benjamin Matthew and Shawn Michael; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband and 2 sisters, Nancy Kenney and Joanne Hensler.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, May 19, 2011, at Bunnell Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. on Thursday in the Archer-Weston Funeral Home. Burial will be atBunnell Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Clinton County Cancer Fund, with envelopes available at the funeral home. Online condolences may be left at archerweston.com.
