Lorraine's professional life was marked by her service at The University of Notre Dame's Center for Pastoral Learning, where she retired in 1996. Her commitment to education and her strong faith were cornerstones in her career, influencing countless individuals she interacted with during her tenure.

A woman of many interests, Lorraine had a deep love for her family. She was also an avid fan of Notre Dame football and women's basketball, often seen cheering on her teams with a spirited enthusiasm. This passion extended beyond the games themselves, as she found great joy in the community and camaraderie that came with being a part of the Notre Dame family.

Lorraine was best described as loving and faith-filled. She was a beacon of light in the lives of those who knew her, touching everyone with her kindness and warm spirit. Her belief in the power of love and faith was a testament to her character, and she lived by the words of Mother Teresa, "Not all of us can do great things.
