Patricia Ann Mitchell, 84 of New Carlisle, Indiana passed Wednesday, March 5, 2014. She was born December 14, 1929 in Sumnerville, Michigan to Fred & Hazel Spitler. Patricia & her husband John were Dairy Farmer for 60 years. She was employed with the LaPorte County Auditor's office in the 1970's and WireCraft in the 1960's.

On November 6, 1949, Patricia married John Mitchell who survives. Also surviving are sons, Michael J. Mitchell of New Carlisle, IN, Dan A. (Kathy) Mitchell of New Carlisle, IN, Jeffrey M. (Michel) Mitchell of Front Royal, VA; grandchildren, Timothy, Joseph (Carin), John (Amanda), Justin, Nathaniel, George, & Madeline Mitchell; great grandchildren, Ashely Borkholder, Madison, Tyler, Brooklyn, Aviana, Briella, Wyatt, & West Mitchell; and a sister-in-law, Susie Spitler of Elkhart, IN. She was preceded in death by two sisters & one brother.

Patricia graduated from South Bend Central High School in 1948, was a Past President of the LaPorte County Home Extension Clubs, and played cards on Wednesday at the New Carlisle Library. She loved her family and most importantly her grandchildren & great grandchildren. She loved animals, especially the barn cats.

Visitation will be 9-11 a.m. CST, at Maple Grove United Methodist Church on Monday, March 10, 2014. Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. CST Monday in the church. Burial will follow in the Maple Grove Cemetery.
