JEAN EDWIN (KINGSBERRY) EWING

Adevoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Jean Edwin Ewing went home to be with the Lord on March 26, 2015. She was the eldest child born to James and Mildred Kingsberry on September 28, 1931.

Jean graduated from Central High School and St. Joseph School of Nursing in South Bend, Indiana.

A longstanding member of St. Timothy Community Church and the September birthday group, Jean was also a member of many professional and social organizations including: Midtown Registered Nursing Club and a charter member of Tots and Teens, Incorporated.

Jean retired in 1993 from a dedicated nursing career at Methodist Hospital Northlake Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.

Jean was proceeded in death by her parents, uncle James Wiley, two daughters, Mary and Sandra, grandchildren Angel, Jeremiah and Camari.

She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Cecil; daughters Dr. Mildred Ewing and Carolyn (Robert, II) Ewing-Turner; grandchildren Mykesha White (Eric), Mykkail (Cephus) Phillips, Masada Ewing, Malavay Anderson Sr., Searia Anderson (Keenan), Samaria (Joshua) Lyons, Samuel Anderson (Brittney), Sontia Ewing, Seleya Ewing, Robert Turner, III, and Cecilia Turner; great grandchildren Mylaya, Gabriel, Cephus IV, Myaysia, Astaria, Seania, Chloee, Keenan Jr., Malavay Jr., MyYana, Cameo, Mustafa, Kaleb, MyCeya, Cameron, Natalie, MyZiya, Aubrielle, Haddasah; sister Mary (Herman) Warren and brother Matthew Kingsberry, Sr.

Visitation 12:00-8:00 pm, Thursday, April 2, 2015, family hours 6:00-8:00 pm. Funeral on Friday, April 3, 2015 at 12:00 pm, family hour 9:00 - 11:30 am. All services will be held at St. Timothy Community Church, 1600 W. 25th Avenue, Interment will be at Ridgelawn Cemetery.
