Tobias Wolf (Robert Hodges)

January 30, 1951 ~ June 14, 2023 (age 72)

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Tobias S. Wolff, affectionately known as Tobi, on June 14, 2023. Born on January 30, 1951, in South Bend, Indiana, Tobi was a vibrant, engaging, and unforgettable presence in the lives of everyone who knew him. As the poet Maya Angelou once said, "People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel." This sentiment rings true for Tobi, whose warmth and kindness touched everyone around him.

Tobi was a hardworking and dedicated employee at A.M. General, where he spent many years as an assembler. He attended Central High School and later graduated from Holy Cross College. He loved dancing and had a fascination with luxury cars. These hobbies brought joy not only to himself but also to the many friends he made throughout his life.

Tobi is survived by his father, Pastor Jesse (Clara) Hodges of South Bend, IN., his sisters; Darlene (Larry) Butler of Somerset, NJ., and Kathy Hodges and a special Aunt, Peggy Hodges both of South Bend, IN. He was preceded in death by his mother, Leah Hodges, and sister Denise Pulley. Tobi's vibrant spirit will forever live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all those who had the privilege of knowing him.

Toby's funeral service will be held on Monday, June 19, 2023, at 11:00 am EDT at Alford's Mortuary, located at 1222 Napier Street, South Bend, Indiana, 46601.
