We are heartbroken to announce the passing of our beloved Mary O’Neal, 70, after a courageous battle with a terminal illness.  Mary passed away in the comfort of her family’s presence on June 3, 2023. Mary was known for her infamous colloquialisms and outspoken personality. She will be missed dearly by her family, friends, and all who knew her. Mary was born on June 30th, 1952, to her mother, Louise O’Neal and her father, Edward O’Neal in South Bend, IN.

Mary graduated from Central High School in 1970. From there, Mary worked at the phone company before settling down at Nipsco Gas Company for 39 years until her retirement.

She is survived by her two children, Johnny (Jamey) Moore Jr of Evansville, IN and Jessica (Kwesi) Vincent of Lansdowne, PA. Mary proudly doted on her grandchildren Kennedy (Jessie) Cano and Chandler Moore of Evansville, IN along with her “bad potatoes” Mahalia Vincent, Nasir Vincent, and Khadijah Vincent, all of Lansdowne, PA.

Mary is also survived by siblings Helen (Sam) Morgan of Flint, MI, Barbara (Kevin) Harris of Andover, MN, Ron (Geraldine) O’Neal of Ratcliff, KY, and Carolyn (David) Williams and Sheryl O’Neal both of South Bend, IN. Mary is also survived by a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, aunts, and uncles.

Mary is proceeded in death by both of parents (Edward and Louise O’Neal), her eldest sister, Rosemary Granger and brother, Michael O’Neal.

The memorial service for Mary O’Neal will be held at New Life Fellowship Ministries at 12pm on June 10th, 2023
