Sandra Piechoski (Konrath) - Class Of 1958 VIEW PROFILE

Sandra Piechoski (Konrath)

Sandy M. (Piechoski) Konrath

Sandy Konrath, 82, passed away peacefully Friday, June 16th in Becker, MN.

Born Sandra Marie Piechoski to Benjamin and Frances (Sobolewski) Piechoski on July 18, 1940 in South Bend, Sandy attended South Bend Central High School and graduated Salutatorian of her class. She had a love for plays, museums, life-long learning and crossword puzzles were an obsession.

Raised Episcopalian, she attended St. Michael's and All Angels until her last few years when life unveiled a plot twist. As "meet cutes" happen - Sandy the consumate researcher - found her current Love at the local library! His name was Ted and he was job hunting on the library computers. Every week they would sit near each other, sometimes talking, sometimes not, but something special was definitely brewing. Sandy helped Ted find a job - which took him to Minnesota - and as their long distance friendship grew it found Sandy moving to Minnesota to live with Ted.

Sandy was preceded in death by her parents, a nephew, and ex-husband. She is survived by daughters Amy (Cary) Malchow of Gaston and Brenda Konrath of Fort Wayne; companion Ted Kruchowski of Becker, MN; sisters Annette Allen of Sandy, UT and Patricia (Gary) Herr of Kokomo; brother Charles Piechoski of South Bend; grandchildren Dakota, Carly, Reece and Corbin and many nephews, nieces and cousins.

A Celebration of Life will be held July 15th from 2-4pm at St. Michael's Church, 53720 N Ironwood Rd, South Bend. Donations in her honor can be made to St. Michael's church or your local library.
