HELEN (KOTOWSKI) MCGUIRE

Helen McGuire, 78, passed away peacefully at Beech Grove Meadows on Wednesday, September 1, 2021.
Helen was born Helen Kotowski in Suhl, Germany during WWII, the oldest of 7 children of Frank and Josephine (Binczak) Kotowski.

After the war, the family immigrated to the United States, settling in South Bend Indiana. Helen, along with her siblings, attend St. Hedwig Catholic School and graduating from Central High School. Through friends, Helen met her love, Charles McGuire, marrying on January 9, 1965 at St. Hedwig in South Bend.

After moving to Fort Wayne, IN for Charles' work, they finally settled in Indianapolis, IN in 1973. Helen worked for many years for Anthem/BCBS as an administrative assist, retiring to enjoy traveling with her husband and enjoying her family.

Helen is survived by her husband, Charles, daughters Kelly (Curt) Barnhart, Kerri (Robb) Coleman, grandchildren Sarah Barnhart, Sam Barnhart, Jessica Coleman and Allen Russell Coleman. She is also survived by her siblings Christina Stasiak, Diane Weymon, George Kotowski, Barbara Kromkowski, Mary Lass and Ted Kotowski.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Josephine.
