Sharon Sue (Little) George

July 24, 1939 ~ March 22, 2023 (age 83)

Sharon Sue George, 83, passed away on Wednesday evening, March 22, 2023 at her residence in South Bend, IN. She was born on July 24, 1939 in Winamac, IN to John A. Little and Audra (Gavin) Little, both of whom preceded her in death.

On November 7, 1960 in Aurora, IL, Sharon married Richard F. George, who preceded her in death on November 24, 1991. Sharon was also preceded in death by her son, Todd A. George on June 12, 1982; and her brothers, Kenneth J. and Steven R. Little.

Sharon is survived by her son, Adam D. (Janet) George; and her daughter, Renee S. Madaras both of South Bend, IN; and her five grandchildren, Aaron George, Kyle George, Bethann Hoggatt, Corey Madaras and Lea Madaras; and six great grandchildren, Connor George, Ella George, Bronx Hoggatt, Adrijana Madick, Isabella Madaras and Kohen Madaras.

Sharon graduated from Memorial School of Nursing. She worked many years as a registered nurse for Healthwin until retiring at age 78. Sharon loved spending time with her family, bird watching and working in her yard. She was the type of person who would give you the shirt off of her back if you needed it. Her presence and support will truly be missed.

There will be no services held. Palmer Funeral Home—Hickey Chapel and Southlawn Cremation Services are assisting the family.
