SOUTH BEND - Mr. Terry Howard Preston, 50, of 2506 Frederickson St., South Bend, Ind., passed away at 9:43 a.m. Thursday, in Memorial Hospital, after a sudden illness.
He was born to the union of Henry and Maggie (Ross) Preston on Nov. 22, 1945, in South Bend, where he had been a lifetime area resident. On June 16, 1984, in Oxfordshire, England, he was united in wedlock to Sharon Hicks.
Those that will cherish his memory include his wife, Sharon; three sons, Robert, Ryan and Rodney Preston, all of Seattle, Wash.; two sisters, Jacqueline Warren and Wanda Williams; two brothers, Henry and Warren Preston, all of South Bend; along with other relatives and friends.
After graduating from Central High School, he entered into the United States Air Force, serving several overseas tours. He retired with an honorable discharge after 20 years of service, in 1986. He had currently been employed by Comair Air Lines as a customer service agent.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, at 11 a.m., in St. Augustine's Catholic Church where he was a member. Burial will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m., Monday, in Alford's Mortuary.
