William V. “Wild Bill” Stoynoff

SOUTH BEND - William V. “Wild Bill” Stoynoff, 87, passed away July 10, 2016 in Kindred Hospital of Northern Indiana.

William was born May 3, 1929 in South Bend, Indiana to the late Angelo and Lenora (Bloomer) Stoynoff. William was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Cherri L. Stoynoff.

On May 17, 1986 William married his loving wife, Loisjean (Szczypiorski) Stoynoff; she survives along with his sons, Robert (Phyllis) Stoynoff and Michael Stoynoff; step-children, Deborah (Sonny) Golubski, Mollie Marlowe, Kimberly (Michael) Long, Pamela (Michael) Hardman, and Richard (Tammie) Marlowe, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Bill retired from Capital Technologies in 1993. He was a member of the Monson Community UMC, member of the Masonic Lodge, member of the Brotherhood of the Jungle Cock Org, Federation of Fly Fishing Org. and St. Joseph River Valley Fly Fishing Org. Bill enjoyed participating and teaching many others all aspects of fly fishing and tying flies. He was proud of being a part of The Emmaus group; also, he was a book collector, and a man of many talents. Bill was true and loyal to family and friends, yet not afraid to speak his mind. Most of all he loved traveling with his wife and spending time with grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Visitation for William is 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Wednesday, July 13, 2016 in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Rd. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, July 14, 2016 in the funeral home. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park.

Memorial contributions may be made to Monson Community UMC, 24172 State Road 2, South Bend, IN 46619; or BOJC, Michigan Chapter, 5859 West Saginaw Highway, #253, Lansing MI, 48917-2460 (Brotherhood of the Jungle Cock) to sponsor youth programs for fly fishing.
