Interlude April 16, 1942: Face the Facts - You can tell spring is in the air by the way Jack Champaigne and Fred Becker worry about their women.

My Uncle Jack was manager of the State Theater in South Bend. My brother Jim and I found a box of office stuff with stamp pads "Win", "Place", and "Show". My uncle Jack was a bookie. He was later manager at the Moonlight outdoor theater in South Bend.
