Rebecca Sue Fischer, 56, died after a brief illness on Tuesday, July 11, 2006, in Memorial Hospital, South Bend.
Visitation will take place today, July 14, from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Welsheimer Family Funeral Homes, 521 N. William St., South Bend. Funeral services will be in Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Mayflower Road, South Bend, on Saturday, July 15, at 11 a.m.
She was born April 1, 1950, to Albert and Dorothy (Lueth) Fischer, who preceded her in death.
Known as "Becky" to family and friends, she was employed by the South Bend School Corporation in the administrative offices for over 30 years.
Becky was a lifelong member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church of South Bend, where she participated in many ministries and held various leadership positions. She was very dedicated in her service to her Lord. Her beloved cat "Tabby" will miss her.
Surviving Becky are numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and many, many friends.
