OSCEOLA - Richard William Forrer, 64, passed at 10:15 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 8, at his residence, 55153 Ash Road.

He was born on September 23, 1942, in South Bend, to John P. Forrer and Irene A. (Berg) Iverson.

On April 17, 1994, in LaPorte, he married Marcia G. (Heitke) Lynn.

Mr. Forrer worked for 30 years at Bendix as a precision machinist. In his retirement, he worked with his wife rebuilding small engines and reconditioning lawn equipment. Dick enjoyed gardening and machining. He was a U.S. Army veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Marcia G. Lynn-Forrer of Osceola; stepsons, Tim (Diana) Lynn of Middlebury and Greg (Beckie) Lynn of Mishawaka; six grandchildren; stepmother, Elaine Forrer of Hemet, CA; sisters, Dianne (Tom) Dvorak of Coral Springs, FL, Peggy (Mark) Mennes of Des Plains, IL, Robin (Andy) Norton of Altadena, CA; brothers, Michael (Mary Jo) Iverson of Stoughton, WI, Jon Forrer of Hemet, CA, Fred Forrer of Sacramento, CA, and Ted Forrer of Homeland, CA.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father, stepfather; two brothers, Tom and Ronnie Forrer, and his grandparents.

There will be no visitation. A Garden Memorial service will be held at a later date.

Elkhart Cremation Services is in charge of arrangements.
