Paul J. Pendl

Paul J. Pendl, 80, of 3441 S. Locust Si, South Bend, Ind., passed away Thursday, April 29, in his home of natural causes. Paul was born Oct. 20, 1923 in South Bend to John and Nellie (Smith) Pendl, who preceded him in death. A graduate of South Bend Central High School, Paul went on to serve his country during World War II, where he served in the U.S. Navy.
On Oct. 12, 1947, Paul married Betty L. King in South Bend. Betty survives.
Also surviving are three sons, Mark Pendl of California, Craig (Sandy) Pendl of West Lafayette, Ind., and Rodger (Lynn) Pendl of South Bend, along with two daughters, Jeannine (Bob) Wroblewski of South Bend and Denise (Tom) Allen of Greenville, S.C.; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren, and a brother, John (Betty) Pendl of South Bend. Surviving as well are three sisters, Norma (Richard) Dorman and Coral (Bob) Hibiske, both of South Bend and Ruth (Don) Hock of Granger.
Preceding Paul in death were his sisters, Gladys Pendl and Virginia SuIt.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 5 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, May 2 in Chapel Hill Funeral Home, Osceola, and one hour prior to services which will be held at 11 am. Monday, May 3 at Lakeville Baptist Church, Lakeville, Ind. Interment will be held at Chapel
