Virginia M “Ginny” Burzynski Grams

SOUTH BEND - Virginia M. "Ginny" Grams, 88, of South Bend, IN, passed away at 1:15 p.m. Friday, August 17, 2012, in St. Joseph Regional Medical Center. Virginia was born on May 14, 1924, in South Bend, to John and Mary (Urbanski) Burzynski, and was a lifelong resident.

On August 1, 1944, in San Diego, CA, she married Jordan C. "Jerry" Grams, who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Laura (Delbert) Beideck of Fort Wayne, IN, and Cynthia (David) Snyder of South Bend, IN; two sons, Jordan C. (Dianne) Grams Jr. of Austin, TX, and Jeffery D. Grams of Mishawaka, IN; and three grandchildren, Jared (Rie) Grams, Robert Beideck and Katharine Beidek.

Virginia was preceded in death by her sister, Lucille Thilman; and three brothers, Stanley, Chester and Louis Burzynski.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 22, 2012, in Corpus Christi Church. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 until 8 p.m. Tuesday in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, where a parish Rosary will be prayed at 4:00 p.m. Virginia was an active member of Corpus Christi Parish. She participated in the Altar and Rosary Society, Church Choir, and Holy Hour Program. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society .
