MARGARET L. (CHEVILLET) NEDDERMAN WOOD

Margaret L. Nedderman Wood Jan. 14, 1923 - Nov. 30, 2014 MARCO ISLAND, FL - Margaret L. Nedderman Wood, 91, formerly of South Bend, passed away peacefully in her home on November 30, 2014. Born in Detroit, MI, on January 14, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Verna Chevillet. Margaret married Harold L. Nedderman in February of 1943. They had four children. She later married Ben E. Wood and gained two more children. Both spouses preceded her in death. She was also predeceased by a brother, Harold "JR" Chevillet, and stepdaughter, Marcia Hoover.

Left to cherish her memory are four children, Pamela (Larry) Little of Marco Island, FL, Craig (Joni) Nedderman of South Bend, IN, Jeffrey (Lori) Nedderman of Punta Gorda, FL, and Kimberly (Christopher) Toles of Elkhart, IN; one step-daughter, Laura Barkow-ski of South Bend, IN; brother, Donald Chevillet; thirteen grandchildren, Shannon Reitz, Stephanie Dockery, Amber Szucs, Autumn Schlutt, Ashley Mathis, Amy, Abbie, Annalise and Andrea Nedderman, Allison Thornton, Oliver Toles, and Brandon and Zac Barkowski; and twelve great-grandchildren.

Margaret graduated from South Bend Central High School. She was active in Rainbow Girls and participated in theatre under James L. Cassidy. She loved theatre, both on stage and behind the scenes, and was a longtime patron of the arts. She was an avid reader and gardener; was a gifted cook and hosted many memorable parties. She retired as an office manager with United Beverage. After retirement, she and Mr. Wood started a manufacturer's rep company, Benaret Corporation, where she was the President.

Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be celebrated on Wednesday, December 10, at 1:00 PM, with visitation from 11-1 at the McGann Hay, Granger Chapel, 13260 SR23, enter off Cherry Rd.
