Leone "Mickey" B. Carter
Leone "Mickey" B. Carter, age 92, passed away Saturday, July 22, 2023. Mickey was born in South Bend, IN on January 31, 1931 to the late John T. and Vernice L. Carter.
She taught first grade at Borden Elementary for 25 years, and was a volunteer at the Clark Memorial gift shop, having donated over 5000 hours. Mickey was a member of Sellersburg United Methodist Church for 65 years.
In addition to her parents, Mickey is preceded in death by her sisters, Glenn Forbes, and JoAnn Meilner, and her brother, Lamoine Carter.
She is survived by her son, C. Hobson Kahl (Kathlynn); daughter, Kimberly Kahl; granddaughter, Cynthia Hunter (Stephen); great-grandsons, Aaron and Zachary Hunter, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at St. Joseph Cemetery in South Bend, IN on Wednesday, October 4 at 1:00.
