JACKSON, MI - Norma J. Clark of Jackson passed on to eternal life at the age of 77 on Saturday, Oct. 6, 2007, in W.A. Foote Memorial Hospital under the tender loving care of her family, Foote 6SE Staff and Hospice of Jackson and Oaklawn. She was a loving wife and mother and housewife.

Norma is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Robert C.; children, Michele E. Russell of Portage, R. Michael (Cynthia) of Jackson, David W. (Brenda) of Muskegon, Pegeen E. (Thomas) Fouty of Mattawan, John M. (Gretchen) of Spring Lake and Pamela A. (Thomas) Ostrander of Canton. She also leaves 19 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Surviving are her brother, Warren J. "Dyke" (Camilla) Braunsdorf of South Bend, IN; sister-in-law, Joyce Stebbins of Mishawaka, IN; brother-in-law, Thomas W. Clark of Tamarac, FL; several cousins, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert L. (1965) and Katherine E. (1936) (Fosdick) Braunsdorf, and by a brother, Robert L. Braunsdorf (2001).

Norma was an active member of Queen of the Miraculous Medal Parish, Cursillo, Arimathean's and Jackson Women's Club (past president). She was a registered nurse and at times worked at Mercy Hospital and Odd Fellows & Rebekah Home in Jackson. Norma enjoyed leading Bible study groups, volunteering at the Red Cross and playing bridge. She taught 4th grade religious education (CCD) for 40 years at St. Augustine in Kalamazoo and Queen's in Jackson. Norma was a friend to all and influenced countless lives.

Mrs. Clark is at the Desnoyer Funeral Home, 204 N. Blackstone, Jackson, Michigan, where a prayer service will be held Tuesday at 10:00 AM followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at Queen of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church 10:30 AM., the Reverend Robert H. McGraw officiating. Interment at St. John's Catholic Cemetery. DeColores! In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Lumen Christi High School or to the Jackson Interfaith Shelter.
