SOUTH BEND - Jimmie Walker, 64, of South Bend, passed away on Sunday, June 10, 2012, at Memorial Hospital. Jimmie was born in Parkin, Arkansas, on January 9, 1948, to the union of Roosevelt Sr. and Willie Eaver Walker.

Jimmie graduated from Central High School and was employed at Hurwich Iron for over 20 years. 

Jimmie was a humble, kind, loving person, who loved sports and his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Roosevelt Walker Jr.; and a niece, Angela Hunt.

He is survived by daughters, Jannice (Cornell) Williams and Nikia Stone, both of South Bend; grandchildren, Ashley Murray, Jasmine Williams, Brandon Reed, Jaetwana Williams, Jaequan Williams and Kelsea Stone, all of South Bend; great-grandchildren, Daveyah Wilson and John Gavin Jr., both of South Bend; siblings, Bennie R. (Joe) Hunt of Memphis, TN, Jean Walker, Bettye (Tyrone) Green, Jewel (Howard) Levy, Debra (Ray) Turner, Frederick (Sharon) Walker and Noalden (Darlene) Walker, all of South Bend; aunt, Addie B. Shurn of South Bend; former wife and continual friend, Alice Faye Walker; and a host of nieces nephews, relatives and friends.

Visitation will be on Thursday, June 14, 2012, at 10:00 a.m. at the Clark-O'Neal Funeral Home in South Bend. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. The Clark-O'Neal Funeral Home has been entrusted with funeral arrangements.
