On Friday, February 17, 2023 at home, Walter Jackson Jr., went home to be with the Lord surrounded by his loved ones.

Walter was born August 3, 1948 to the late Walter Andrews and the late Annie Lee Jackson in Thomaston, Georgia. He is also preceded in death by his wife Linda S. Jackson, three brothers; Dwight I. Jackson Sr., Terry D. Coleman, and Ronnie Coleman; and one grandson, Joshua C. Jackson.

Walter leaves behind four sons, Joseph E. (Joyce) Jackson of Winter Garden, FL, John E. (Carolyn) Jackson of Davenport, FL, James W. Shead of Memphis, TN, and Michael (Beverly) Radanovich of South Bend, IN; seven grandchildren, Aleithea Jackson, John Jackson Jr., Cameron Jackson, Chavon Jackson James Shead Jr., Jameisha Shead, Courtney Radanovich, two brothers; Marvin K. Jackson of South Bend, IN, Donald Coleman of Marion, IN; and one sister, Linda (Terry) A. Walker of Milwaukee, WI.

Walter graduated in 1966 from South Bend Central High School and entered the United States Air Force in 1967 and became a Disabled American Veteran. Walter attained an Associate Degree in Accounting from Michiana College of Commerce. He worked as an accountant for Bendix and the Department of Public Welfare in South Bend, Indiana. Walter was an avid sports fan and loved baseball. He played league softball every year of his adult life in which he was able. Walter attended Living Stones Church in South Bend until he relocated to Florida to be with children and grandchildren. Walter was a stranger to no one. He was the most sociable person you would ever meet and always the life of the party.

A memorial for Walter will be held during the early summer (Date TBD) in Indiana. Condolences for the family may be sent to: P.O. Box 13566, Clermont, FL 34713.
