Funeral services for Mr. Crist Philip Wilson, 54, of Weaver, Ala., will be Thursday, July 28, 2005, at 11:00 a.m. in Saks Baptist Church, with Rev. Daniel Harper officiating, and Chapel Hill Funeral Home, College Station, Texas, in charge.
Mr. Wilson died Sunday, July 24, 2005, in his residence. Mr. Wilson is survived by his wife, Linda M. Wilson of Weaver; a daughter, Melissa A. Bivins of Weaver; a son, Charles P. Wilson of Anniston; parents, Charles P. and Jane Wilson of South Bend, Ind.; sister, Rebecca "Becky" J. Williams of Macy, Ind.; brother, Bruce A. Wilson of South Bend, Ind.; one grandchild, Jaylyn Nicole Wilson.
Pallbearers will be military. Mr. Wilson was a native of South Bend, Indiana, and a resident of Weaver, Ala. He was a retired veteran who served in Vietnam with the U.S. Army. He was an M.P. in service from 1969 to 1990. He worked with Jan Pak as a warehouse manager from 1990 to 2002, and with the Sheriff's Department of Anniston for three months and was presently employed at the Anniston Army Depot. He was a former member of Calvary Baptist Church of South Bend, Ind., and a present member of Saks Baptist Church where he taught Sunday School for third to sixth grade boys, was a choir member, Awana, and coached the Saks co-ed softball team and men's basketball team.
Donations may be made to the Saks Baptist Church Building Fund or to Southern Care Hospice.
