GRANGER - J. Thomas “Tom” Morrical, 70, formerly of Granger, passed away on June 22, 2016 in the Unity Point Health- Trinity in Rock Island, Illinois. Tom was born in South Bend on December 13, 1945 to the late Ralph Alden and Bertha (Bair) Morrical. He graduated from South Bend Central High School, then attended Ferris State College, and finished his schooling at Indiana University of South Bend. On June 24, 1967 he married the love of his life, Jean Matthews, in Saginaw, Michigan. Tom proudly served his country for 22 years in the US Air Force and was honorably discharged in 1996. He retired in 2006 from John Deere Health in Moline, Illinois, after 10 years. He belonged to the Reserve Officers Association, the Medical Group Management Association, and served on the Board of Camp Arcadia. He was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church. Tom enjoyed gardening, reading and learning about Pearl Harbor, but his greatest enjoyment came from being with his family.

Tom is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Jean and their 2 daughters; Heather (Kevin) Yodts of Moline, Illinois and Holly (Jamie) Dunkel of Arlington Heights, Illinois. He is also survived by a sister, Nancy (Bob) Riegle of Mishawaka, and six dear grandchildren.

Friends may visit with the family on Sunday, June 26th from 2:00 until 4:00 and 6:00 until 8:00PM in the Bubb Funeral Chapel, 3910 N. Main St., Mishawaka, and one hour prior to the service. A service celebrating Tom's life will be held in the St. Peter Lutheran Church, 437 Dragoon Trail, Mishawaka at 1:00PM with Pastor Bryan Borger and Reverend Kenneth Mangelsdorf officiating.
